RAFA March Meeting and Arts Council Show

Hard to believe that Anne has yet another vest that she has felted. I know how much work this is!! She does a beautiful job and I particularly like this one!

Here is Anne yet again with a nuno felted scarf to go with the vest! Definite a high achiever.
We all got a big kick out of this tshirt quilt by Mary W whose son wanted a new blanket! This was her test one!

Donna had a ton of stuff to show including these two nuno felted scarves, at least one of which was using her indigo vat dyed silks.

Caris also shared a new felted scarf. My arms just ached thinking of all the rolling of the tubes they did to get these beautiful scarves.

This was a memorial piece done by Brenda. This will be in the library show at Cazenovia in June.

Mary has been using her marbled fabric in the Ricky Tims pattern with wonderful thread painting on top. This is one of several she has done.
After show and tell and scooping up all of Priscilla's wonderful textiles she had purchased on a recent Nepal and India trip, we headed off to a wonderful group lunch at the Gateway Cafe at Village Gate. The food was excellent and will have to go there again! Unfortunately, I didn't have room for the desserts which looked super yummy!
This is Caren B's entry into our Arts and Cultural Council of Greater Rochester Show which is up until the end of March. This is very different from Caren's usual pictoral quilts. I loved it!!

This was Margaret's piece commemorating her teaching trip to Kenya last spring.

You can see my heron on this wall.

Elaine did a beautiful job with this minimalist piece.

This was Sarah's beautiful thread painted daffodil.
