Some of Mh Recent Endeavors

The art quilt group I belong to here in New York (RAFA)  had a challenge where we randomly picked colors by name of paint chips that had silly names so we didn't  know the colors.  We picked three colors. The colors I ended up with were pink, lavender and a slate blue.  I decided to use this photo of a sunset I took at Ft Fisher for my inspiration.

This is the ressulting piece.

I am not sure what inspired this -- probably something I saw on Pinterestl.  It invoerf ccutting a dark and a light nine patch diagonally.

This was the originally planned itieration.I have sewed quarter square triangles from different nine patches.  It is bias all the way around but this really isn't a problem and actually helps when matching seems.  I was not overly fond of this though!!!

      • This was the finaly iteration.  It is a small neeonatal quilt and is okay.

These last two are potato chip quilts which I do a little differently substituting a white 4 1/2 in square for 2 2 1/2 x 4 1/2 stripss. Each of these is 24 x 40 and also for the neonatal unit up here..
