Day 2 of Quilts from 2022 Quiltfest

 

This was a magnificent quilt but again I couldn't get the name of the quilter.

Another one that I couldn't read the name...

This one was by Karen Stone who was one of the teachers at the show.

This one was by Katie Pasquini Masopust who was another of the teachers.

Again I couldn't read the name but thouht it was Susan C.

I think this as my favoite in the whole sho althouh I didn't vote at all as there were so many gorgeous quilts.  I wish I knew the name of the quilter but the tag was too small too read and this was a huge quilt with incredible quilting.

Unfortunately, another one that I couldn't the name of the quilter.  This is the closeup shot showing the wonderful quilting.

I loved this scrappy one by Beth Brewer.  It is good inspiration!

This one was by Pamela Birchenough.  Love the colors and the quilting!

This is another one by Pamela Birchenough.  Anyone who has followed my blog knows how much I like hexagons.

This magnificent quilt is by Jean Lemmon.

Another one where I couldn't read the name.  A wonderful interpretation of the NY Beauty block.

I believe this quilt was made by Mary Wieser. 

 Wonderful combination of applique and piecing.

This quilt was by Lynda MacDonald.

I believe these next three were done by Ruth Ohol.  She does unbelievable machine quiltingl 

I want to apologize for all the names I missed as well as any I may have mispelled or labelled wrongly!  I can't get around like I used to when I would take closeups of all the tags on every quilt in the show!!  There were so many I should have taken pictures of that I somehow missed.  There are still a couple more days of quilts to come!

The Genesee Valley Quiltfest 2022 - the First of Several Posts with Pictures

This is the raffle quilt for this year with the proceeds going to Quilts of Valor.  I though t it was just stunning -- look at that machine quilting!!!!

I have made no attempt to put these into any kind of order as the show was not laid out in an obvious order.  This quilt was by Kim Werth.  I have included some closeups as the machine quilting was incredible!

This quilt is by Sharon Engel.  All I heard from people as they were heading down the aisles filled with more than 500 quilts was WOW!!  I heard it over and over again!

Unfortunately I couldn't get the name of the person who did this one.

This quilt is by Judy Harbison.

This quilt was done by Mery McEvoy and looks like something i would like to try!

Loved the colors but again, didn't get the maker's name.

Way, Way Behind in Posts!!!! First Some Birds from my Yard!

Sitting in my driveway reading a book was very rewarding for a couple of days, giving me glimpses of a couple of birds I hadn't seen up here including this Black and White Warbler who stayed a while entertaining me!

A Black-capped Chickadee also stayed around for awhile.  I have seen these before but usually at my neighbor's feeder.

There are always Goldfinches around in the summertime.  The next day after this, I saw nothing but pairs of birds!!  

We had a Robin's nest that I could see from my den windown but they have fledged now although the Robins continue to noisily sing outside!

We always have Cardinals hanging out.

I really enjoyed this little Tufted Titmouse hanging out in our cherry tree!

One of our Blue Jays on an absolutely gorgeous day which is rare in this part of the country -- we don't usually see the Carolina blue skies up here close to the lake!

I loved the colors of the crabapple tree against the bright green and deep blue of the sky!

A pair of Mourning Doves who were quiet now that they got together!
