May RAFA Meeting

Mama robin is sitting on her eggs on the trellis holding our soon to bloom clematis. She won't let us anywhere near when they finally hatch.

The saucer magnolias are in full bloom and very full this year with all the rain we have had.

Rhododendron is also beautiful!
I loved this quilt that one of our RAFA members made for her nephew.

This was a beaded collar that Liz bought in to show us. Diane is modeling it.

This was one of two exquisite baskets made by one of our members. She wraps thread around rope and on this one has worked with some wire and heat to create the decoration on the top which holds the stone from which the basket colors were derived. Both baskets were just beautiful. She is one of our newer members and I sadly didn't get her name.

Donna brought this nuno felted silk scarf to show. She also dyed this with indigo to get the pretty pastel blue.

Anne had taken a class with Judy Robertson and this is one of the pieces that she did in this class.

Glynnis finally decided she would try snow dyeing and brought the results this month. This and the next piece were two of the ones that she did.

This was a stunning snow dye I thought!!

This was a two sided piece -- the pattern for which was developed by one of our group members in preparation for teaching a class at Joann's.
