This quilt was made by Linda Delvecchio. Wonderful use of color in a fairly simple quilt.
There will be random thoughts about dyeing, marbling and quilting. Hopefully there will be some information that is new to people. Nature is my inspiration and because of that, I reserve the right to publish lots and lots of pictures of animals, birds, butterflies and plants!

Linda Roy's work is so recognizable. I knew her (or perhaps I should say "of her") when we both lived in Wisconsin back in the late 90's and I saw her work in shows there. I got a chance to chat with her a bit at an AQS show, telling her how much I marveled at the time it must take to hand quilt and hand applique her beautiful and intricate quilts. She confided that she watched a lot of soap operas during the day and that is when she got her stitching done! I'm always happy to see a new quilt showing up in a major show, knowing she is still at her craft and doing it as wonderfully as she ever did.
